before it kills you: Girl killed by falling television set
The incident was reported shortly before 7:30 a.m. at a house in the 12000 block of Hallwood Drive, Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Miguel Garcia said.

"It was an unfortunate tragedy," said El Monte police Detective David Smith, adding that foul play is not suspected.

The girl was rushed to the Methodist Hospital in Arcadia where she died a short time later, Garcia said.

Her name was not released Sunday.

The girl was inside a room in the house with an adult family member who was asleep in bed, Smith said.

The girl apparently either tried to turn on the 32-inch screen TV or reach for an object on the dresser where it was perched when the appliance and the dresser toppled over on her, Smith said.

Im over here now
i know of a certain company that was sued because the rejects put a 36" tube tv on some crappy not-made-for-a-tv "stand" and crushed that person...this company settled instead of going through our fine legal system.

i think if i bought a 36" tube, id put it on something that can support 180lbs.

natural selection is right
