Hi all,

My XC rig is a dying dinosaur. I'm going to put a bullet in it soon. When I do, I want to replace it with a short travel aggressive hardtail.

My requirements:
- thru axles fr/rr
- 650b
- 68deg or less head angle
- steep seat angle
- designed for 80mm to 120mm fork (tapered head tube)
- single speed compatible
- prefer dropper capable. Pref stealth (with exit at bottom of seat tube like Process or alloy Intense Tracer).
- pref no internal routing.

Basically a Kona Explosif. So why don't I buy one? Spec on them isn't for me and they are horrible bang for buck in Australia compared to North America. Are there any competitors? So far the only one that I know of is the Soma B-Side V3 and in a pinch I could make a Stanton Switchback 631 work.

Not cheap, but the BTR Ranger is an absolutely fantastic bike, and fits your requirements well.

Just curious what do the Explosif's sell for in Aus?
Full retail here is like $2899.

OR maybe one of the Cove hardtails (love my cove hummer).
