Well, looking for my first dirt jump/urban bike. I have a stock Kona Hula in my garage collecting dust. I was thinking about throwing a new fork on it, some bigger tires, new seat and discs' as well as changing the handlebars. Most likely replace the gears. So basically just building around the frame, give me some pointers please

You should just by another bike. You'll end up with a nicer ride for the same money, save yourself a bunch of hassle and not experience breaking that frame in half.

Well I got some nice stuff to put on it, the frame is in mint condition...I would like to keep it rather than replace it.

If you already have the parts why not. I'm just leery of using a frame intended for a youth bike.

konas are pretty darn tough, its the crap they put on them that arent the best. give it a shot and see how well it works for you, at least you wont be out anything and you will have an idea what will work better if you end up shopping for a new frame.

yeah, the frame doesn't look like it will break, tons of strong welds and it's some beefy aluminum.

give it a try. especially if you are just getting into riding dj & street. upgrade the gear as your skills improve.
