Same as any sizing dilemma if both sizes fit. Basically decide what your priority is. Playfullness Vs stability.

Pretty sure Kona just reintroduced the long-legged Process recently - hence the lack of reviews or feedback.
I’ve been eyeing it myself now that it’s available in XL

I'm often between Sm and Med myself.

As long as the seat tube is short enough so that you can position the dropper at the right height, I'd suggest going for the larger bike (if you have fairly standard body proportions).

My wife has the previous model 134. She test rode this one and is saving up for one now (we have separate hobbie funds, this is good for our marriage) she said it peddles better and is easier to maneuver (shorter stays) even though it's a little longer.

Yup, I'm in between a small and medium. If I lived in places with longer downhills I'd size up. Techinal climbs, and flat terrain with sharp turns where i live i size down.

IMO, the days of downsizing are long gone. That was back when the large sizes had goofy 8" long head tubes, top tubes above you nuts and people ran 150mm stems.

A buddy has ridden every year and just about every version. He stated the newest version is the best of them all. I had a 2013 model and a 2015 167 and looked at the 165 and it,s a sweet looking ride. If they did a raw version like the 2012 Entourage DLX I might be tempted to buy one LOL.
