has anyone tried to put a 9.5x3.0 shock ?? mine has a 9.0x3.0 and i see alot more of the 9.5 for sale

I don't know for sure if it will fit or not, you should contact Kona. However, if it does fit you can count on it raising your BB height and steepening your HA slightly. Another option is to buy a 9.5x3.0 and have it "cut down" to a 9.0x3.0. Some shocks can accept this mod and others can't. You will have to do some research before buying a shock however.

I have a Marzocchi Rocco, stock configuration is 9.5x3.0 and it was modified by PUSH to be a slightly less than 9.25x3.0 to get the HA of my frame slightly slacker. So, it can be done.

As far as i know, the Stab Primo has a 8.75x2.75 shock on the back, atleast it was when I measured mine so unless you want a super steep head angle, dont even think of going longer as mine is already at a hair under 66 degrees.
