Labeling Obama as a Socialist could bite conservatives in the ass later on.

I was thinking about it and I came to the conclusion that labeling Obama as a Socialist could be normalizing the term.

Let's face it, there is a significant amount of people out there who both support Obama and have no real knowledge of true Socialism. Couldn't insinuating that they are voting Socialist be bringing a degree of normalcy to the term? And if so, in elections to come will they be more likely to vote left as a consequence?

Just a thought.

No way could anyone avoid this iceberg, but at least Obama has the knowledge to turn the wheel, not drive straight through.

If Obama wins and does enough good with a majority congress, he could win a 2nd term. If McCain wins, the excitement will likely kill him and Palin will run us into the ground.

only time will tell.
personally i believe his tax credits to be far too generous
he wants to give 95% of the constituents a tax break when ~50% pay no taxes at all.
how is that not an expansion of wellfare?

It's demand-side economics. An effort to give those with zero disposable income a break, because those with large disposable incomes have unfairly profited during the Bush years.

If you only seek equality in taxation then surely you condem Bush's tax cuts for the rich.
