:(

Sold the ///motorcycle I think. Guy came yesterday with his wife 2 up on a slightly newer model. Sounds like they are looking to tour together and want similar bikes for logistical reasons. Supposedly he's coming by with cash this afternoon.

Not really sure how I feel about all that.

hey whatever happened to moving to boston?

I keep thinking I should apply to a job back in upstate NY. Taking the equity and money we have saved and moving back there would be...noice. Life without a mortgage payment? K

7+" of snow on the ground outside with more coming down. That 3" slush base should make clearing up outside even more fun...

Most excellent group ride and bbq last night.

But damn, there is clearly a lot more traffic on these trails already this year. And a lot of cut corners already starting to form; looks like some are just cutting the corner because they can and others just going around avoiding some gnarly roots. Going to need to spend a few hours blocking all that garbage. Someone even cut down two sapling trees, which yeah you have to weave around, but that trail in particular is tight and twisty and not a god damn highway with berms.

Bath remodel did not go as planned. First, I was unable to pick up the tub like I was told I could, so had to go to another shop and found one that will work. Then, guy didn't show up/contact me until late in the morning, saying he sent text to wrong number. Have toilet/surround/floor all torn up and, hopefully, ready, and now to be a toilet down.

On the good side, found a surround that will work at second shop, brought it home, and informed guy that I now have all items for remodel. Said he WILL be out Saturday to do the job. And, I was able to cancel tub/surround order from first shop.

And I mowed the lawns.......

FTS. FTS big. Boss still hasn't spoken with me since he got pissed at me last Thursday. Why did he get pissed you ask, because I scheduled some work and put on the calendar two months prior and he tried to move it because he wanted to schedule shit on those two days at the last minute (day before). I said "Can't do it, client has to have those two days hence why I put it on the schedule two months ago". Well, he flipped shit and got all pissy with me...WTF. I'm so over this crap and a boss/owner that flips his shit for the stupidest reasons. Job search is in full swing. Wife and me were actually thinking of going back to Europe and maybe taking a year to travel and 'find ourselves'. This plan sounds better every fucking morning I wake up and drive to the salt mine. Life is too short man.

What's with the fucking bacon and eggs? You're in MX, for fuck's sake. :disgust1:
I can't eat most foods, remember? Also we are 25min south of Cabo in a private home. Wifey is having good Mexican food we bought yesterday.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Spent an hour last night researching a mountain bike/surf trip in Mexico for kiddo and myself, next April. (Spring Break).
Looks like Todos Santos and maybe Sayulita.
It’s way early to plan, but I love armchair traveling...
Any of you ridden in MX?

Hello lmao. I ran an hour after work yesterday at a pretty hard effort, which in itself isn't really newsworthy, except that when I finished it felt like I swallowed nails. The pollen was so bad that my throat hurt and I've been hacking it up ever since. Anyway, bike ride tonight and it looks like it won't be a rain out for a change. I headed out Tuesday and got a quarter mile down the road before turning back because thunderstorms looked imminent. It was a good call, because we got hammered.

So speaking of career changes, wife is currently in the process of heading down that rabbit hole because she has reached FTS level with her current employment choice. It'll be nice to have her not work tax season next year.

Would likely be stationed somewhere in French or Swiss Alps if we decide to do it. We really like it there. Pace of life is wonderful and the riding is stellar. I actually really enjoyed Geneva. Public Transport can take you anywhere and is the best I've been on. Cost of living is up there though. Geneva would allow us to hop a train or plane with ease and travel within Europe area. We will see.

You can't have tequila?
Yes, but I fucking hate it. Vodka-soda please. My only options for alcohol are straight liquor - no beer, very limited wine, no mixers. I get 20 grams of carbs per day. Try it... It's hard and sucks.

This trip (total walk-away, no comp) is really making me want to push for early retirement. I'm pretty sure I can get Wifey on board with a decent kick to our savings levels to make that happen 5-8 years earlier.

you need a retirement planning counselor. :thumb:
Live now or live later. That is the hard balance. We can retire at 55, but that makes for a MASSIVE change in lifestyle with kid 2. 60 is feasible, but hard with kid 2. Enjoying life pace is 65, which imho is FTS level.

Expensive houses and toys are what prevent most people from walking away in their 50's. Oh and kids... Fucking kids.
