Just got back from the Bridgestone Grand Prix of Monterey, and it was pretty darn fun. Ears are still ringing though, those cars are LOUD!
I coulda sworn there were vendor tents here when I visited in April...
A broken Nissan 350z race car. So sad.
The word BRRRRRRAAAAAAAP comes to mind.
Mmmmmm... Race Girls.
That's a 2005 Ford Mustang pace car. Extremely loud and extremely cool.
I almost cried when I saw that the slalom and 4x courses were gone. Ok, I wasn't quite that emotional, but it hurt me. Deep down. Permanently.
Zoom zoom!
View of turn 10 from the grandstands.
The cars topped out at about 150 mph on this straightaway.
One of the most impressive things was watching the pit crews go to work. They are the definition of efficiency.
So that was my weekend. Good times, eh?
