Well the issue is that once in law school, 1st year law students are only permitted to work 20 hours/week. That is an ABA regulation and CANNOT be changed.
Add that to the fact that you have to convince the dean that it is absolutely necessary.
The situation I am in is as such, the work I am doing now in school is very much like law school, per my professors, all of which are attorneys and even the folks I interviewed with.
Now the kicker ends up being this. The indication that Law School for them is shunned, I can always leave. It would depend greatly on the situation when I conclude my undergrad. Point is, I will better myself and look out for myself way before i will be THAT loyal to a firm.
Now I'm not saying that I will not be loyal to them, but the fact that they were disuading me to go to Law School raises a flag, a big flag...
That is my only concern. I liked the people I interviewed with, and hope it works out.
