Ok. A previous thread got me thinking.

What would your last supper consist of?

To start you off, here's mine:

*Homemade (made the day before & reheated) lasagne with a sweet potato layer and a spinach layer in there. No sloppy lasagne either - needs to be dry enough to hold it's shape when cut.
*Crusty garlic bread. And I mean garlicy.
*Good salad of mache (lamb's lettuce), crumbled feta, pinenuts and a light drizzle of hazelnut dressing. Thats it.
*Bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape '88 or '81
*Open fire

mmm, no blend for me, I loves a wine that's primarily San Giovese! Brunnelos, Chiantis, Nobiles...

I could move to Tuscany right now and never look back... ya know, if I had the money.

i've had a decent amount of brunellos and chianti riservas, but they are no match for an excellent super tuscan.
no match objectively or subjectively?

Cuz we bought three cases of wine in Tuscany, one case Brunellos, half case of Chiantis and 1.5 cases of ST... and subjectively, Brunellos crush easily.
