Last day at the airline. Doubt I'll make it past lunch.
Wife, her sister, and my sister have a beach house rented Mon-Thurs at Carolina Beach by Wilmington. I said you may want to take a kite, or better yet some floaties. lol. I’ll be at home in the hills riding my bike.

On a serious note-my aunt and uncle have a house on Hilton Head Island where I heard 20+” of rain could fall…I hope not.
That’s what the weather man said..Hopefully the models are over predicting..20" of rain is kind of apocalyptic.

are any of the spokes hanging up on each other at crossing points?Trying to trouble shoot a front wheel that “pings” when I put lateral force into it.
i thought you loved that shitThis one was just way too steep to be cost-effective

Can you define that A bit for me? The spokes certainly feel “stuck” to one another where they cross. Brake side is 2x or 3x (I can never tell) and non drive/brake side is strait laced. There’s a spot of rust on several of them at the crossing. Not sure if I can lube or anti-seize these spots, or if they will simply break in as the bike is ridden (no idea if it’s sat for a while). Or some emery cloth?are any of the spokes hanging up on each other at crossing points?

As I tightened a few of the spokes, I heard a bit of pinging- I wonder if it’s the spokes winding and unwinding due to binding or something. I need to ride it a bit and see if the re-tensioning helped.
In my experience this usually because of low tension or lack of stress relief which will ultimately lead to low tension. also could be if laced incorrectly or a noodley rim.Can you define that A bit for me? We've got cottonwood on the East coast, though I think more people call them poplars round these parts.I'm on the East Coast. Maple.
Aren't you worried that you are going to be deported back to North Korea? It seems as if Westy has already been deported as we haven't heard much from him? I will miss you.

I agree with Westy, sounds like a tension thing. but rubbing some oil on the spokes at crossing points may help as well. Can you define that A bit for me?
