So. Fucking. Humid. How do people live here? Wifey was asking me why one needs more than one shower and more than one pair of underwear per day... ball sweat, honey. Ball sweat.

Science museum today. At least it's indoors.

Present. Accomplished a lot yesterday: trimmed tomatoes, installed string lights on the deck, and mowed lawn. Fresh ground burgers were a success. Buddy brought the new gal he's seeing over to meet us. She's nice. Huge improvement over his ex wife, but that's not a high bar to clear. Drank a bunch and chatted a few hours. Thankfully not ball sweating heat.

Gonna do some more chores today. Building a ceiling storage rack in the garage.

It's cheaper than Denver?
Talking w/ FIL and it doesn't sound like too far off. Sales tax is high and food is taxed. Property tax is high. No income tax, but largely offset by above. Energy is cheap (because that Socialist TVA - but don't talk about that), but ends up costing around the same because the AC is on full time. House maintenance is high because of never-ending moisture.

Vs. California and NYC? Yes, it's cheaper. Vs. Denver? Eh... not so much.

Nashville also sucks compared to denver. And anywhere else with civilization.

I will not challenge said statement. Wifey is super excited to go out to and see shows. I'm fucking ecstatic about going to local country shows. The things we do...

Morning, slept like a brick. Pleasant 65 right now going up to a lovely 97 which beats the shit out of the past three days which have been around 107. Repair day around the house and then set the camper up to head out after work on Thursday to go work a 3 day horse show out by Sacramento. Might go to Bass Pro today to pick up some more flies and leaders

Rode around the neighborhood with whole family. Wife on Taga, kids 1 and 2 on their own bikes, kid 3 with me on the Mac Ride. Then it got hot.

So now we are back in our house, AC buzzing away. Time to get some Popeyes, methinks

Driving through the cancer gauntlet at Judith Gap, en route to the K-M Scouts ranch in far eastern MT (West Dakotas) with the (not so) little guy.

Brought the bike hoping to check out their //////private trail when not working, for my first dirt of summer.

Rode 13 miles today to bring my four day Kingdom Trails total to 90.5 miles. Old Baboon would have ridden half the miles and spent the rest of the time drinking beer. I like this version better.

At the airport. Football World Cup Final is on. England vs. Italy. 1-0 to England at half time. Gosh I hope they don’t win, they’ll be insufferable.

Built some ceiling mount storage racks for the garage to improve organization. My daughter helped me, which was actually pretty cool. When moving stuff around, we pulled out the old balance bike. She commented that she doesn't need it anymore now that she has a big kid bike. I asked if we should sell it and she said yea. Definitely makes me a little sad to think that both my kids are done with it. The Burley trailer is probably getting close to the end of us needing it.

It was actually EUFA and Italy won. Yay. (Shows how much of a shit I give about football.)

In a van.... down by the river
Wifey and I just did 18 miles up at Golden Gate Canyon. So many rawks.

Made it to within 1.5 miles of the finish when I stuffed a wheel on a tight, rocky switchback and went down on my thigh/shin/hand. Now my goddam hand hurts...

Spent the fucking day repairing the camper. now wifey is pissed that I didn't go do the horsey thing with her. Of course I would catch shit from her for not doing the repair in a timely fashion either....only way to win is to not play ..... but its 22 years to late for that choice.

Found out about 5:45 that somehow I'm on the schedule to work 5-10 PM today. So here I am. Checked and apparently I'm also on this shift on 7/25, also not on my calendar.

Went for a ride, surprised I didn't see anyone else. Thermometer in the car read 108 degrees when I got back, perhaps that explains it. Was actually nice at elevation and I started the climb before it was too hot.

dh followed by grilling and beers at friends' house. we chilled on the porch while the kiddos watched knives out, which they liked. i think the video filming i'm supposed to do tomorrow got cancelled, which would be cool as i'm kinda sunburned from riding today...

Busy day.

Got up early and worked.
Got in argument/fight with girlfriend.
Fixed that and we went and rode some DH for a few hours.
Checked phone as we're leaving and saw a critical problem someone was having at work. Came home and worked MOAR until 11pm. Fixed.
Ate dinner.
And now... ?
