This is a great opportunity to get involved and take
some ownership of the trails we love to ride

TCS has been active in trail building and maintenance since 1990. In
joint partnership with PERC (Parker Elizabeth Riding Club) we
constructed and maintain the Indian Creek Loop and TCS is the
official Adopter of Section 1 or the Colorado trail.

We have a trail work day scheduled with PERC on National Trails Day
JUNE 4th at Indian Creek. http://tcscolorado.org

We, TCS, would like to direct more of our efforts to the Jeffco
trial system in partnership with Jeffco Open Space, and we need
trained crew leaders

This is an opportunity to make a contribution towards that effort.
Jeffco trails have been recognized nationally, and we have one of
the best trail systems in the nation right here in our own back yard.

Lets help take care of them, for us, and for future generations.

i'm confused.
the map for colo spgs puts the build site near that big-ole horsefield, ya? i know it's part of the bear creek property, but don't know of a trail system to which it's hooked up.

is an actual trail going to be built which will be part of a network, or is this just to learn building chops?

thanks.

Yeah, paying to volunteer? Plus the Jeffco ones are during the work week. Paying plus missing work, I will pass.

I am all for helping on the weekends. I was involved with the CDCC... but I work Monday-Friday.

There will be actual trails being built. I can't speak for where the training will be exactly so you should contact:

i would do it, but come on, $40?
The $40 goes towards the training materials and any fees that are associated with the training. I've done the training and remember receiving some great resources on trail building - especially the book on how to cut different trail. Do they make a few bucks off of you??? Maybe. However, everyone out there with you is a volunteer with the exception of the VOC paid staff. It's money well spent.

You're not paying to volunteer. You're paying for the training materials, etc that you get at the workshop.

Yes - the Jeffco dates are a bummer to everyone. On the other hand, I am told that they are full nonetheless. There are more opportunities to volunteer your time to help build and maintain trails that don't require the certification that the VOC offers. If you're still interested in helping out, join us on June 4th at the Indian Creek trail.
