I got an 831 dirt jump fork, went to lower it, and realized it didnt come with enough spacers (internally adjustable to 80 WITH MORE PIECES)

It has been sitting in my basement apart (and open) The pieces are all clean and are staying clean, but id like to know if the oil will dry or become sticky and be bad for the fork. It is currently sitting in a bike stand right side up, open and compressed, with a oil pan under it catching oil.

The next part is that i know it needs 30ml of float fluid in the top, but what "green" oil does the bottom get, not much came out, and im sure it is only for keeping it slick rather than damping, but id still like to keep it in there.

I'm waving. Can you see me now?
Unless its hella dusty or damp you will fine. You could always blast some carb cleaner befor you reassemble.
Or, or, orrrr..... what if a hellacopter came in and blew the fork over and all the oil spilled. Oh no, then all the bugs on the floor would die, and it might spread along the coast of the wall and...(gasp) onto the carpet!!!

But in order to save the carpet, we must throw hay on it, and perhaps invent a bacteria that will eat the oil.
