That said, Sessler's annoying. The whiny tantrum she threw over the kit regulation was about what one would expect from her. Is the UCI regulation silly? Of course it is. But they approached it with the maturity of a 13-year-old.
The nastiness with which they approached some alleged course-cutting by Barel a few years ago in an enduro was petty and childish as well. They're always the first team to run to officials over some infraction, perceived or otherwise. Just race and be done with it.
I know it's not a popular opinion, but I'm OK with that.

yeah idk if they fixed it.. i watched it like 4 hours after ( hungover as chit ) and the feed stopped mid-way through luca shaws run, then the stream started to work again with the last 6 riders coming down.

I think having the longest bike in the business really does help on those rough, dusty and loose conditions. Long wheelbases are definitely more forgiving as long as you don't have a lot of twisty corners.
Paired with Gregs expirience and smooth riding style the Syndicate has an awesome package going on right there.

Free Agent started this in late 80's BMX w/ the Limo - then 1.2" longer than the Expert 20" racer. MCS made the Magnum with 3" of wheelbase added in. Game changing and set the tone for long and low bikes.
It's a need more than a want, which looks inviting even more after watching Minnaar run again - the bike just mows down the gnar and looks to be non-fatiguing feel at the bottom.
I suspect (but cannot confirm) that Greg's riding ability may have contributed to his successful run at least as much as his long bike. No doubt the wise and almighty Monkey can determine the precise contributions of each factor.

So far this has been a freakin great WC season IMO. Lourdes delivered in a big way with rowdy gnar and a legitimate roxual assault by Gwin, Ft Bill offered some space mud calamity and had Gregor tie Peat for most W's, Leo not only improved the track significantly (imo) but was also a historic event with Gwins invisible friend/chain win, and the lederhosen track turned out to be a savage test for all and made all the more special with number 18 for a non-trade team rider. Sucks about Sam, Stevie and Ratty being banged up one way or the other, but it looks like all 3 may be ready to rumble for MSA. It's too bad that GM had to basically cruise down Lourdes with a janked thumb, as it'd be cool for a closer overall points race - although Loic is obviously in the mix. Plus, if Gwin does have a "poor" result at some point, things will get a lot tighter assuming GM and Loic stay on the podiums.
