Well at 2.2..... seconds faster Gee is like eh damn. If it had been 5-6 like it was going to be at the first third. He may have been crying.at first gee was like
then he was like
Well Gwin was running a 500lbs spring so that may be part of the equation. It looks like he's on a 4 inch travel bike, he doesn't even use the travel for bumps, only for massive hits. The dude must be stronger then a gorilla.
Quoted for epicness.at first gee was like
then he was like
For those that remember Tomac it revalidates his awesomeness. And for those too young to know, Tomac was the original superstar of mountain biking.
And also has a son who's killing it racing motocross
And even raced some on the road
Is it me or is Gee handing Gwin his teeth or mouthpiece?
This dude?what a season!
It sucks Ryan Hughes is not getting any props on Gwins training, Ryno is the secret to MANY athletes taking it to the next level, and hes taking part in Gwins destruction of the field.
Oh, and USA!
That's just it, the only info/news/interviews/comment/discussion we have on Gwin's coaching "staff" is that one press release we got at the start of the season. Would be great for the fans and Gwin's competition to get some more insight into the strength and conditioning Gwin is on. As it's clear it's making a big differnece to his performance. Especially if you compare him visually to say Bryceland or Fairclough.what a season!

Agreed! Throw in big House, Tomac, and a great work ethic, he's got a lot of things contributing to this year's successes!what a season!

Yep. Gwin handed Gee his ass in the race though...it looks like it in the video
Again really? It was a minute plus in so his 5 seconds off Gee's was wrong but Gee's 3 off was correct? Sweet two races in a row.Gwin's top split was a mistake

There were no mistakes as far as I'm aware at Fort William. But yeah, Gwin sure as hell didn't take 5 seconds out of Gee on a MINUTE of track!Again really? It was a minute plus in so his 5 seconds off Gee's was wrong but Gee's 3 off was correct? Sweet two races in a row.
Yeah I think Ryno brings a lot to the table for Gwin. And with Gwin growing up racing moto I bet he listens to Ryno!what a season!

Check out the intensity in the beginning of that vid..
I just wanted to say how much I like your site. It's a bike dork's dream.Gwin's top split was a mistake, if it's not already been discussed. Not sure how the UCI timing people can make such mistakes, but there you go.

Pep pills. All the top guys are popping them. Either that, or any focus/energy/concentration powder you can mix with water.Nice to See Steve Smith on the Podium.
Id love to know Gwins entire off season Regime. Everything he does, what he eats, when he sleeps, exactly what he does in the gym etc etc etc etc.
I doubt giving WC athletes hand jobs would benifit my biking in any way. Im more interested in their approach to the physical side of it as stated in my previous comment.Would you also like to give him a reacharound?
No, just for a short section of trail. Maybe a few seconds worth of being unclipped, but still, he pulled it back together and made it down for the win.So Gwin blew his feet out of the pedals and rode the last minute of the track unclipped? Nice!
He's 1/3 there....Damn, Elliot Jackson 6th at the first split. Crazy for a guy who doesn't do a lick of real "training".
He also missed that final jump out of the woods. That looked like it was giving guys a solid 1 second bonus down the stretch....guys who hit it were carrying loads more speed. No, just for a short section of trail. Maybe a few seconds worth of being unclipped, but still, he pulled it back together and made it down for the win.
Maybe if he did some "real" training he would make it down without crashing? I know he has loads of talent but he seems to have a hard time making it down the hill. The winning recipe is difficult to figure out, it seems like Eliot may be missing a few ingredients but it would be awesome if he figures it out and starts getting a couple top 10's in his first WC campaign.Damn, Elliot Jackson 6th at the first split. Crazy for a guy who doesn't do a lick of real "training".
