Let The Backyard Revolution Begin.....

i started building myself a playground in my backyard a few days ago and it's fun stuff. i wish i could build it taller, but the neighborhood peeps probably wouldn't me riding around being able to see into their yards all the time either. i wonder why i never started building stuff sooner. here is the progress after a couple days work......

what kind of backyard stuff do any of you have, please share because i am also looking for ideas.....

That's super cool. Great use of space and composition. :)

I've always wanted to do something like that, buy around here there'd be no way.

You need to build a foot drop to tranny for full effect. :)

if my backyard were a tad bigger i would have thrown in a few jumps. that is for sure my ultimate dream, a backyard big enough to build a DJ spot for me and my friends to throw down....
but, luckily for now, our local DJ spot is less than 2 miles from my house....

My dad owns 50 acres on a huge wooded hill out in the middle of no where. An old 5-10 foot deep, 20 foot wide, creek bed runs down the middle of it. The creek bed has been dry for 20 years. This would be perfect for some crazy stuff. He even owns a huge Kubota tractor. I have been thinking of building a huge DH/FR/DJ trail. The only problem is he lives 116miles from me. Maybe next summer.

If only I had been into mountain biking when I lived at home.

It would be nice to have some stuff in the backyard..... keep building.

Dude, You have the yard for this!!! We could do DJs and bridge work!!!
Yea, i know. I should be all over it... but times just hard to come by these days. Biggest prob for DJ's at my place is my ground is real gravelly. To do it right we'd need fill dirt. I have a small stock of wood for ladders and stuff... also theres a bunch of old stups to use as supports.

I know the biggest obstacle is always time. Look how many projects I never finished.
Fill dirt can be had for free if u haul. Check out Craig's list. There are always lots of posting for construction sites trying to get ride of clean fill.

Damn....I wish I would have known. I removed/hauled about 70 yards of nice fill dirt from my yard in September.

That sounds all too familiar. My parents won't even go for non-permanent wooden stunts.

Oh boy do I have a lot of stuff in my backyard. I was blessed with a big backyard, so I made the most of it. Nothing new in the past 4 months or so (boarding school), but I have a partially completed 20-30 foot gap, 10-15 foot step down to a butter tranny :) that might see some action in the future. Anyways

A wheelie drop (now gone)

My poor stunts :(

A stunt made out of a dead tree from the storm that caused that^

This drop was super smooth, killed in the storm

A smaller drop to a crappy runout, still fun

I'm in Cos Cob, part of Greenwich. There are a lot of courts like that, it's a popular brand that makes them so it might look like some others.

The wall is also used as 10 footer, so I'm using just about everything I can at home

Blindly running into cactus
not my backyard (yet :D) but a friend of a friend that allowed the use of his land for senseless acts of anti-gravity.

that whole field to the left is recently become available also....and the availability of a bobcat doesn't hurt :thumb:

We elevated the roller today and started incorporating a new line into the ladder maze for it!
