this needs footage :/
Moonshine in a Mason jar for the podium.
I have nothing negative to say about the race, so I probably shouldn't even comment. Against my better judgement I will say Bruni's run was fan-fucking-tastic! Hart was equally entertaining, but nobody is smoother than Bruni when he's on a ripper.
Okay, now back to 29er hatefest, we've got like 9 years before Ft Bill, so y'all should be able to sort this out by then. Can't wait for Haggis-land!
If the alternative is old men in tight pants that's a no brainer
So wheel size has no bearing on riding style? Being on a bike that that is harder to maneuver but is better at rolling through the rough in a straight line would have no influence whatsoever... smh
I never said that same size wheels = same riding style. You've put that gem in there. Clearly, you can throw 26" wheels around a lot more but you can't just monster truck through the rough stuff and have to pick and choose lines a lot more carefully. The opposite is true for 29ers. Given this, which do you think would make for more interesting riding and line choices?
Thanks for the career advice - lol. Your English is good but I think you've missed a few important nuances in my post. I speculated that times will be tighter this year than last with most of the field on 29ers and you missed the deliberate hedging I used. Can you show me where the faulty logic in my post is?
And why have bikes become longer in the last year or so... Hmm...
The butthurt is strong in this thread.
If you're actually talented wheelsize has little bearing on style
Stretchy tightpants probably help
how does someone too old for stretchy tightpants embed an intagram post here?
It’s the tight pants.
I am not sure what I enjoy more, the racing or the reactionary anger it generates in this forum.
Nah Greenland and Bulldog both looked rad as fuck as well.
TIL 0.8 sec back (Rach), 1.6 seconds back (Gwin) and 6 seconds back (Gee) on a new bike means its useless.
great race. quit yer bitchin'
bring on Ft. William
this (unless of course you're a wee person). and at the speed these guys ride (and a strong as they are), "maneuverability on tighter tracks" means sweet fuck all in relation to wheelsize. dunno what the fuss is all about. bigger people should ride bigger wheels. it's science.
Is this in regards to the exclusivity of their drinks on the podium?
so...not psyched to wait a month to watch the 34thousandth race at ol roman road billiam. MEH. but fine. i’m sure i’ll be excited when it actually rolls around. mostly to see if @jackalope can possibly come up with some new material.
Say aye tae a pie!
and yes, you can get haggis pies
GIVE ME THE ORGAN MEAT PIES
hey...ummm...if someone can figure out how to put me in touch with cathro i’ll offer to put him up for free at the snowshoe haus.
Just message him via social media or sickskills
phone/email at the top right
What will the pants status be with the other occupants?
if @mandown shows up...UNKNOWN
Careful when you offer to hook that guy up.
i’ll be more careful if he offers to hook ME up
This guy gets it.
It's the big wheels buzzing your gooch.
Tell him there's wifi.
Also, he does have travel covered now.
that's the 29er ass rubbing
Also mandatory alcohol testing. Anyone under 0.07% of it in their blood is DQ'd.
start hut = bong shed
I still think hatred against thin pants is soft of reverse gym rat fear of small calves. Kidwoo feels bad for not having spider legs. I kinda like wearing tight pants and I'm 32. Maybe not leggings tight but it's good not looking like you're a Limp Bizkit fan.
As for not liking new stuff - Gary it's just your stereotype. Don't worry about it. I'm no fan of 29ers. Maybe someone will find some geo numbers to make them more playful but yeah even though i love less agile bikes so far I wasn't in love with any 29er I rode. Though yeah. Manualing and jumping was fine and I say this as someone who rode very little recently and is shit at jumping (I literally whipped a stepdown so hard I landed on my face). I think I'd like a 29er trail bike as a bike for longer rides. Maybe for bikepacking. Maybe just wild trails that are not very bermy and being able to rail turns is not super important. Maybe'll get myself one given I'm being hired by a respectable british company now. As for DH bikes. I'mm just afraid in 2 years there will be no 27.5ers and the choice will be 29 or 297.5
Why not LSD?
What does "TIL" mean?
Mandatory ingestion of at least two cans of beer mid track.
Christ, is that what you think I look like?
Switch "wife beater" with "free moustache rides" t-shirt.
So you look like a creepy unkle?
Today I Learned.
Anybody know when Kaos Seagrave will be allowed to race again? I re-did my fantasy team, and picked him. But will swap him out if he's not racing. (d'uh!)
