First trail ride of the year yesterday and conditions were perfect. 3 hours and I was treated to an amazing lunch post ride. Bike is dailed just need to get stronger lower arms.

I am in my own darkened room salt pit again. I hope to get caught up with my work and do some coding and writing in the afternoon. Instead it'll probably degenerate to me looking at gifs of shiba inus and the like, as usual.

In hell. Welcome!
Highlights of the day so far: bitchin' ride with friends, trails were ripped this morning. Pork cracklins grilled to chewy perfection in the oven. The rest of the shoulder is being slow cooked on a tiny flame for the rest of the day. 9.0% ABV Double IPA that's more bitter than my mother in law in her full strength.

My arse is now firmly parked in the no-fucks-given territory, and should a sober moment of ugly reality arrive anytime soon, I have an emergency DIPA ready in the fridge to save the day.

Went for another hike today, this time on some local trials. Holy cow is it muddy.

I also found a rope tied across one of the trails. Took that sucker down with some pliers in my pack (those knots were in there good). In other news, I now have some sweet new rope.

Pro-tip of the day: don't partake in bongshed activities while attempting to go up a steep and snowy slope.

Nice ride today. What was a lung buster climb in my fat days was a nice spin up today. 3 hour cruise was way fun. However I have a seat rail creak that was driving me nuts, time for a new one. I think I have all the mud and cow shit cleaned off my bike ( range cattle all over the park) what a pain.

I have a creek in the bottom bracket of my hardtail, I've pulled and cleaned it dozens of times but it always comes back. It's loud enough to alert hikers of my approach.

Goal for the day was to program a demo/scratch track from start to finish. Not just a riff, or a hook, or even an A and B change. Intro, verse, chorus, bridge sections, all fit together. I always end up writing a segment, getting stuck on changes, then never going back to finish writing and editing. I also get lost in mixing and selecting sound patches from my vast library. I have file after file of ideas, but very few completed tracks.

Today, I accomplished my goal. I built an entire arrangement. I can present it to the band and we change things, but I still have a completed concept to present. Damn, that feels good.

I did it all with synths and sampled instruments, and I'm impressed at the sounds. Guess that's why I bought this software.
