The tree of Tenere was once know as the worlds most isolated tree. The closest tree was more than 250 miles away. It was knocked down in 1979 by a drunk driver.

The Corvette is world’s longest-running, continuously produced passenger car.
Fact, this is a false statement. Corvette was discontinued in 1982, then was rereleased in 1984. Giving it a one year break in its production. Not sure what the a trial longest running product toon car is, but even the mustang has the corvette beat.
19 years this Saturday, and she still won't let ME take pics for my review......
Better to ask forgiveness than permission?

Not exactly.

The initial plan called for introduction of the newly designed 1983 in October 1982. There were 43 pre-production models built (but) a decision was made to withhold production (for sale) until January 1983 and to serialize them as 1984 models. The Corvette was named "Car of the Year" by Motor Trend Magazine in 1984."
So while no '83 model is official, it was still in production.

But doesn't that say exactly that production was withheld, making the rare 42 preproduction Corvettes not a production vehicle? Leaving 1983 as a non production year, meaning there is a gap in how long the corvette was in fact a production vehicle?

(Debates are fun)

The molecular weight of ethanol is like 46.
@Pesqueeb What makes my knowledge of this is shame. A girl I dated when I was in school was in the same bio class (500 people) as me and after we broke up, we split where we were sitting (obviously). I went down to the front of the class and she was in the back.
Randomly the professor asked me the answer to that, to which I had no idea. He muttered along the lines of "that was something I should have learned in high school chemistry". He then asked a random person from the other side of class and it was Erin of all people - she knew the answer. His comment? "There's somebody who paid attention in high school". There was plenty of amusement as about half of the crew team was in the class and knew we had just broken up. He was very confused at the reaction to his comment.`

Production for sale. It's not like they killed it, though they almost did by '90 because the engine was a turd as was the Doug Nash 4+3 but the LT1 was being built skunkworks for Corvette Racing.

The LT1 with T56 trans made a huge difference.

My range of interests does not extend to Chevrolet, except perhaps for the C4 ZR-1's engine (but not its crap fiberglass body or leaf springs).
