Recently I bought a set of the new Hope Tech M4 brakes and was thinking about changing the rotors to a floating disc. I like the Bling but the problem is that I have heard that the floating disc will bend easy and puts excessive heat on the hubs. Do any of you guys run these rotors on your rigs? Need your knowledge and wisdom!!

I have a Mono M4/Mono Mini setup with the 2pc rotors. They've been fine and I've been using them going on 3 years. I've never heard of any of the problems you're describing.

None of that makes sense from a material or construction standpoint.... someone is full of it.
FWIW, I have been running floating Hope rotors since they became available...M4s, M6s, 8"ers, 7"ers, and 6"ers on several different bikes.
The only issue I have seen or heard of is the rivets on the rotors can come close to some forks/adapters. It's a tollerance thing when certain hubs are combines with certain forks (seems like Fox + King is the worst...dig around on MTBR for more info). The 7"er on mt Lyric was very close (to the adapter). I chose to take about 1/2mm off the adapter with a file just to be save.

Not true at all, I've been using floating rotors on all my DH bikes the last 5 years and never an issue.

Don't know but they posted in Busted Spoke fourm under tech talk. the subject was Juicy Rotor/Hope disc interchangability. They were talking about using hope rotor on juicy 5's.
