So i was riding/running sprocket round my block, on 2nd or 3rd lap, and this woman across the street is jogging on the other side, waving her hands, trying to get my attention. I stop and she asks me how many times i'm going to come around, and why i choose this route. Then proceeds to say my dogs are barking like crazy and my fiance is trying to sleep, can you go somewhere else.

A) be polite?
B) ride where i damn well please?

to be truthful she seemed polite, but i won't lie, my gut reaction was, control your f'ing dog.

and i do go round that block, vs. another one because it is the most sparsely populated (private school property takes up 1/3-1/2 the block), fewest other potential conflicts with dogs, people, etc., and bear in mind im running him beside me, while i'm riding my bike (not slow either, and he IS on a leash...forgot to mention that) but i'll be damned if i was going to stand there and justify myself to her.

i've lived in this area for 11 years, she moved in last year, but i definitely wasn't going to go there.

That or ask her to jog nude as an compensation for your accommodation of her unusual request.

A and B, be polite but ride/run where you please the road/footpath is a public space not her private domain.

If her barking dogs are a problem it's is up to her to fix the problem with the animals.
Get a busines card of a dog obedience class/animal psych and hand that to her next time she whines to you.
