I actually planned on riding Mary's Peak while Derek raced because I've heard there are some really fun trails up there. But, we awoke to so much snow that I knew the top of Mary's Peak and the trails would not be rideable. So, with nothing else to do, I decided to just screw it and race. Horrible decision since I absolutely CANNOT hike/run or use my knee in any fashion except riding. I finished the race simply because I refuse to DNF and I hate quiters. I have barely been able to walk all week and definitely not ride because my knee hurts so badly now. I should have just quit. I suck and this sucks.

Damn! That sucks. Second lap the conditions really deteriorated. Did you get you get caught in the hail? I was just hitting one of the high speed sections when it started coming down really hard.....I don't think there was anything fun about that race

Oh yes, I got the hail. I got everything in that race! I had fun still.

Oh yah, about the actual Liege race.... Did anyone else watch it? Didn't you hurt just watching that poor Tinkoff rider about 15 minutes into the show or so. He was climbing that really steep hill and TOTALLY pedaling squares. He was barely moving and it hurt me to watch it!

My legs *still* hurt from watching that! Man oh man...

And how about Bettini's attack? Homeboy just gunned it!
The Schleck boys were really working though, that was pretty cool to see, attack, caught, immediate sibling counter attack! If Andy (the younger one, right?) had the guns for a counter, I think they really could have done something.
Still, 3rd and 4th is nothing to sneeze at!
