It wouldn't let me proceed to level 1...
I think the purpose is to decypher how to get to Level 1 from the text on the page. Notice how in the first paragraph, 3rd to the last line the letter "u r l" are in a slightly different shade of red?

Hm, that wasn't the reaction I would expect at all . What exactly are you looking at? Would you mind copying what you see into here, just to see if you're looking at the right thing?
Another long-shot hint (if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, then don't think about this too hard): I don't know if you remember an old thread about the old Canfield website. Somebody found that Canfield Bros. were using a trick to increase their keyword search without having to pay the search engine to link their site with a certain keyword. Level 6 has a similar principle.
