Hi everyone, I've done all the research I can to find out what angleset my session 88 needs to get it going...After checking BTI and canecreek I think I need the "DC-1405 ZS44-ZS56/30" Or the "DC-1406 ZS44-ZS56/30 (kit)"

I also know that the Transition tr450 is a 49.6mm on the bottom and a 44mm on the top so that would be the DC-1404 ZS44-ZS49/30 (kit) from BTI

For some reason even after reading all I can I still can't seem to get it right. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks!

You are correct on the Session - ZS44-ZS56/30. The TR450 uses an integrated top bearing (according to their site), so no go on an Angleset for that bike.

The 2010 TR450 uses an integrated top bearing, so yeah, no Angleset. However, the 2011 TR450 switched to a 44mm upper bearing to allow the Angleset.

next run of tr450s will be good for the angleset...it's being changed bc people are complaining. so dumb bc it's already adjustable

You mean the next batch of 2011 frames, right? Because the 2011 on their site now still shows an integrated top bearing.

Transition doesn't do model years, they just do production runs. The current one uses an IS style drop in bearing. The next one, due in a month or two IIRC, uses a ZS style top cup, as will the TR 250.

yeah batch and run imo mean the same thing. But yeah, it'll run the ZS style top, so yall can do even more angling. I still don't see the point, but whatever. I thought mine at 63 was plenty slack

Choice is a good thing.

Many would actually say that 63 degs is too slack and they'd prefer 64 or whatever, so having the independant angle option is always nice, no matter how adjustable the frame is.

:stupid:

Plus the TR250 was designed to run a ZS top cup, so this simplifies manufacturing, because they can use the same headtube.

So the new TR450 Will be the same headset style as the trek? Or will it have a 49.6 lower cup? Thanks everyone!!! =]
