I have an Intense Uzzi with a 68mm BB shell with a 113mm spindle length that I am rebuilding so I can sell it.

It needed new cranks/BB, I had a brand new Race Face BB which I installed, and I bought a set of Truvativ Blaze 3.1 cranks. Not much selection for inexpensive ISIS Cranks these days. Nothing on the website said the cranks were for a 118mm spindle but they are, and wont fit on the bike.

So what now? Would purchasing a Truvativ Howitzer BB work or do I return the crank and try to find an actual ISIS crankset?

Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
Marc

After a bit of research, I found the answer.

As you can see the standard ISIS and howitzer have the same shell width, but their spindles are much longer. So my least expensive option is to buy a 2009 howitzer BB and sell the bike with two brand new BB's, one ISIS one Howitzer.

Moral of the story... Truvativ ISIS <> Other ISIS other then the crank arms share the same interface.

Hope this helps someone else.
