Fellow monkeys, we're (NoTubes) in need of a little help naming our new road rim. Naming products is one of the hardest things to do and we're really at a loss on this one. Without making an official contest out of it, I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. If your suggestion passes the trademark searches and is selected I'll be sure you get a set of the rims at a minimum.

If the mods deem this an inappropriate post, just let me know or take it down.

A little about the rim:
- it is our first road rim
- it is tubeless compatible of course
- sleeved joint, machined braking surfaces
- will be available with multiple drillings
- target weight is 350g
- I don't have the drawings in front of me but if memory serves it is 21.5mm wide, 23.5mm tall, 17mm inside width
- appropriate for road and cyclocross use

We'll be sticking "ZTR" in front of the name so keep that in mind. The name can not be shared with any rims or wheels or other bike components currently on the market or available in the recent past.

Please offer up what you have and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

ZTR Escape - Strong enough for dirt, but made for the road

On a side note, when will these be available for purchase? I've had such good luck with your mtb rims, but am looking for something lighter than the 355 to build my cx wheels with.

My suggestion would be to have something the would really stand out and create a strong brand.

ZTR Slice

ZTR Knife

ZTR Bullet

ZTR Flux

ZTR Stealth

The 909
ZTR leadout
ZTR 700 (although based on other rim names people may think it refers to weight)
ZTR Lycra (just kidding on that one)

Ok, we've got a couple in the running and trademark searches are underway.

chronsy - Summit was going to be the name of our new Crest rim but one of the US distributors owns the trademark.

Thrown out some more if ya got 'em, trademark searches might not work out.

Thanks all.

I kid I kid.

How about a reference to a cyclist terminology from the late 19th/early 20th century of:

Scorcher.
