Looks like it was an interesting race. I wasn't expecting much from Ballan, but his effort must have been impressive to get away. Hoste must have been crushed, coming so close for a second year. I'm a big Boonen fan, so I feel bad for him too. Sounds like his earlier crash played a part in his disappointing performance. He seems to be confident that he is in top form right now and his early season outings show that as well. Well, maybe he'll come through in Roubaix.
