A guy was just in my office. He said that the Nike store nearby was told to pull 'em off the shelf after the tour.

If that's true, what's up with that?

Have you heard this?

Nike paid for the first 5 million...I heard they are gone. Maybe Nike no longer wants to be a distro for a $1 item. When the rest come out in August they will be in plenty of other places (if in fact Nike has decided against further support, which, although I was playting devil's advocate, I doubt)

I got mine a long time before the tour. I just ordered the 10 pack off the website. Have you seen they're selling on ebay for like $4? it's great...they put the money back into livestrong. but, most people are misguided about what they signify. I was selling my bullit and one guy was wearing one and was like "oh, you support lance in the tour, too?" I dunno, it's a good cause, but most are naïve as to why they have them. back to the original subject, get it off the website and hand them out, it's just easier and you know you're spreading the word for helping cure cancer.

Very cool. My GF recently donated over 24 inches to Locks of Love. It's a great cause. My hair is also earmarked for the kids when that day comes and I decide to amputate it.

Like you said, there are a ton of good causes that a person can help with. Either by donating money or time.

If I looked halfassedly decent with long hair, I'd do it. Until then, I just volunteer at a Headstart downtown...working with little kids is frieking awesome :D

HaHa. My hair measured out at like 22 inches when I had it removed. They couldn't belive I wanted it shaved off. They kept asking "Are you sure you want to shave your head?". It's just hair. When they asked if I wanted to donate it I said I don't think I will have a use for it.

I just did that not long ago when I went from a 10" ponytail to very short hair .. make sure you have at least 8" of hair to be cut off before you do it, most places can't take less than that.

The nike website is still showing that they are for sale, though seems they are heavily backordered. Not sure why they'd pull them from the shelves but still sell them online - that doesn't make sense to me.
