I am having trouble getting 5.1 sound to work with my new sound system. I have it set to 6 ch direct. The sub and the rear left and right speakers are working. But nothing else. What am I doing wrong?


edit: BTW I am setting it up with a mac g5 with leopard 10.5.

yes I know it is in the lounge but the technology section does not get as much attention.

why are you using 6ch direct? doesnt the computer have digital audio outputs?
the G5 is a desktop right? it should have digital outputs.
