Look at those KNOBS!

The older and wiser DW would have figured out that a mechanic would have greasy hands and those dumb aluminum knobs would get slick really fast. Should have put some knurling on them.

Yeah, I was thinking if I grabbed one from Woody I'd first take a 1/2 round bastard and file in some finger thickness grooves in it. But I just can't see the reason to replace the 10+ year old plastic ones, other than the bling factor...

BTW: This thread brought my level of respect for the RM crew up untold number of notches! Love the "stfu....come to platty"!!:thumb:

Do want. I'd need some local fools in to going with me to split gas costs though. I'd be down for a Platty weekend for sure though.

Fun fact: during the collegiate race at Platty freshman year, we were camping in the lot as guys down the other end were lighting off fireworks. My friend, who was obliterated drunk off JD, thought he was in WWII and was yelling that the Japs were bombing us, as he proceeded to drop to the ground, crawl across the parking lot, warning others to "hit the deck". Being the less-drunk good friend, it was my job to make sure he didn't get run over by any cars/ATVs cruising back and forth.

Remember that, Tim?

I'll dig up some platty pictures from way back. Shotgunning beers standing on an industrial spool that was on fire.

Fahk, my friend who moved to CO is coming home for the weekend, so we're doing Sunday River that Friday then hanging out at his parents' lake house that night/Saturday.

Maybe if I'm ambitious I'll leave from his house in NH Saturday mid-day, arrive at Platty that afternoon/night and ride Sunday.

It's a race weekend, so keep that in mind. I'm game for a Platty weekend pretty much whenever (I can get there in less than 2.5 hours).

I'll keep riding after my race run, assuming I'm still in one piece, and would probably be game to skip out of work Monday and ride then too.

That was Bolton valley you turd. Plattekill was Brewster babbling about cartridges and making his refried bean burritos on his little camp stove and watching movies in his car with his butt buddy. Wasn't that where you ate **** in the parking lot coming down around the corner?

Crap, that's right.

Not sure about this parking lot crash though.
