Hey all--

Anybody go to the Seven Springs DH race back in 99 or earlier? I have NCCA nats there and am trying to assess what tires to bring/what to expect etc.

I'm not even sure what the course they run will be like. It COULD be like the nats course from 5 years ago, but who knows.

Any info would be great!

7Springs National in 99 was the first DH race I had ever seen. The mountain is about 750' vertical, so it's a little bit short. I would say 2.5-3.5 minute runs. The course was pretty technical with some nasty boulder sections.

Seven Springs is pretty flat. I'd bring some grassy-mud tires and something a little more all conditons. Depending on your tire sponsor i'd say bring swampthings and highrollers or Swampthings ( I know) and comp 16's

I watched the last year the Nat'l was there and it was one narrow muddy rut on the bottom half through woods. Hopefully, they've updated the course.

Yeah...OCTOBER 31st!!!! Its going to be more like SNOW tires!

this is confusing, i live an hour and half from the resort, it is a pretty much anti DH resort. I would say run some 2.5's there is some bad rocks, the mud tires might be death in those sections ...but it is super choppy, i cant believe they are running DH again...

ditto... my first reaction is to "stay home"

oh well... should be an interesting time... "regular dh tires" should fit the bill - nothing out of the ordinary... that time of year likely means slightly wet conditions, but you could also have frozen ground as well - who knows.

So I'm gonna take a guess and say they're resurrecting the 99 NORBA DH course.

I'll definetely go up to do some shooting, and checkin' out the nightlife.

its a shame though, if they would commit to DH, they would most likely gain a bunch of the pgh folk back...

Not to piss in your corn flakes but the night life should end up being on par with the DH course
