I've recently built up a new Santa Cruz V10.6 that came with a Rc4.
Soooo, I haven't owned a Fox rear shock in about 5 years, so I'm looking for some base line settings or suggestions as how to set it up.
I'm about 175-180lbs geared and the shock has a 450lb spring. (possibly need a higher spring rate for my weight?)
I don't race anymore. Mostly get together with my bros on the weekends for bike park runs.

Thanks.

I always matched my air booster to my body weight, then turned in as needed to provide sufficient bottom out resistance.

Mine was on a tr450, then tr500 so I imagine the rebound and compression settings would be different.

That said, I typically just tuned both to my personal preferences as I rode throughout the day until it felt good.

I opted for the vivid air on the v-10 This year, some days I debate whether I am going to be happy with that decision.

I'm not sure what the v10's leverage curve is like, but I would start with the minimum pressure in the boost valve with the knob turned all the way out. I think thats 140psi, and it has 4 complete turns of adjustment. For my DHR that is what is recommended, not sure if that would be ideal for the v10 or not, but i think with the right spring weight/sag that the boost valve won't be necessary. I would put the HSC, LSC and rebound knobs all in the middle of the range and go from there. That's a fairly popular shock/frame combo, I'm sure someone will chime in with their personal settings.
