hey guys looking to get an XC/AM bike. I ride mostly DH but I want to start riding more XC because theres some good single track near my place. Looking into a used Giant trance which I can get pretty cheap. I don't want to spend too much just something decent to use. anymore recommendations or opinions on the trance?

Trance is a nice bike...you may also want to look at the Giant Reign (might feel more DH on the downhills but likely isn't going to climb as well as the Trance). I personally love my 575 and you can get a used one for a reasonable price.
any thoughts of a Single Speed? You can get really awesome SS for cheep.
If you already ride DH, I'd be looking at the Reign. That bike might be a little better suited to how you probably already ride. If you ride DH, the chances are that you probably are going to ride your AM bike more aggressive than the average Trance rider.
