There are reports of 18 inches of water against the levee in the Quarter. That's not good but it certainly isn't as bad as it could be.

The east part of New Orleans seems to be catching the brunt of the flooding.

So the looting has started... (this is right out side the quarter)

We're outside of a Winn-Dixie grocery store on St. Louis Street here, and they're literally walking out with the store. Shopping carts filled to overflowing, they even have some of their kids going in with them to get stuff out of the store, just one after the other, there must be 40 or 50 people inside, coming out of the Winn-Dixie parking lot here right now.

They'd better be careful because NO cops tend to shoot first and ask questions later... I know they have a "You start to loot, we start to shoot" policy.
