My drive side pivot bolt came loose twice this weekend ! This can not continue. Is it okay to use loc-tite in there, or would I just be asking for a headache later on?

This is a new thing, the bike has withstood much nastier abuse than it saw this weekend...WTF!:angry:

Sure. Just on the threads and use blue.
