I have an 04' Ironhorse SGS Dh and I am getting tired of replacing DU bushings in the lower shock pivot. It seems like a questionable design, Two hollow rods go through the E13 link plates and meet in the center of the shock. The system is held together with a bolt that runs through the plates, rods and shock. Where the two rods meet together (In the DU bushing), they are turned down on a lathe to a smaller diameter. Id venture to say that when they turned this smaller diameter they had the feed rate set at about 35mph on the lathe! This is where the shock is to pivot, doesnt it make sense that it should be tight, smooth, and polished- like the rods Ive seen in FOX shocks? Maybe the hardware I got wasnt manufactured correctly? Where my shock pivots, the metal is pretty hagard, and fits pretty loose, even in brand new DU bushings. What shall I do?
