yea i get that, my point was more that i'd be very surprised if they had access to that level of prototype from a company that's doing their R&D with another brand

It looks like there is a cable ferrule behind the link, but where would the cable housing go?

Maybe it anchors somewhere else and then as the shock/link moves through the travel, the lever and push button are automatically compressed?

Edit #2: Minnaar being the Syndicates worst qualifier at #6, and with a #1, a #3, and a #6, 29ers aren't looking bad right now.
