Once again you're taking my comments far too literally. Do you really not get the fucking joke?
Maybe he could see things a little clearer if he was wearing Spy goggles like me. Or he could get a better grip on the situation if he was wearing Fox gloves with the new magic palms. He could also have a concussion from not wearing a new carbon helmet with numerous brain protecting acronyms like my Bell moto 69. But he is probably just groggy and ill and all he needs is some temporary sugar induced bro stoke from this Monster energy drink I am holding in my hand during this interview...

sam hill did applied this strategy before.
Are you thinking of 2007 @Champery? It was actually opposite. Hill qualified like he should have. Peaty and others bagged cause of the forecast. Hill raced his ass off in the downpour and mud and came in 3rd. The responses afterwards were all about sandbaging to get earlier start times.

Jokes are to you what cryptic nonsense to some others. Try this perhaps - use parethase like it is an actual interview. Ya know 'joking' 'laughing'. Have never seen 'sneeze fart'. Could be your thing, TDF Blue we could all call it.

I hate the FIS (snowboarder forever), but they really got it dialed.
That's why I think the EWS is the better race series, even though the format isn't cool as DH. Races all over the world and more then 10 aswell.

I posted the below already in the EWS thread, but I think it fits in here aswell:
Did not mean to quote your message. (mucho laughter)

Am happiest in Levi's and a Tee Shirt. Especially when they are given in courtesy thanks Cory @ the Hive, Mama Cass on the Scooby Doo episode I watched this AM, and Fuddruckers Burgers for the free refills.

so you're basically the idiot, because everyone else here got the joke without having to think "oh what mountain biker switched to supercross?!?!?!?"

You are humble bragging Industry Insider friends, Ramona.

So I was surprised to read a BMX frame was ridden on course, I happen to believe everything I read and nothing I see.

I feel like gwin always sandbags timed practice so nobody knows how fast he is. he never tops timed practice and then will qualify 1 or 2.

as for holding the race, if it's clear that it's going to rain midway through, and continue to precipitate, I feel as though they should try and hold it/delay so the field is as even as possible. otherwise, just run it and let the cream rise to the top. they can't really speed up the race to make it earlier.

Got the same impression. Wondering what purpose it serves... he's going to be up there regardless... you can count on that (assuming it doesn't rain)!

Almost none of the top guys changed to rain/mud tires.

What really pissed them off was having to run theirs suspensions so stiff they couldn't get any grip when slowed down by the rain and slippery marble-like rocks under that fine layer of mud. I guess that's the downside of having Fox and SRAM putting up a suspension setup so specific to the weather and rider conditions, no knob turning would fix it if things go blizzard.

Most of the time they lost against Fayolle was in the top section, before the first split. That's where the rain hit the track harder, and also where most of the infamous slick rocks of Lourdes happen to be.

If they were so concerned about the weather changing, they should at least have changed their tires to wet ones. They chose to whine about Red Bull and the UCI ruining their wee day out instead.

I don't know that none changed. Minnaar changed to wets and then changed back to drys and he felt that that was the right choice. They weren't really on mud, more like greasy hardpack. I didn't really hear that many of the riders whining either, they mostly seemed bemused by it.

I think if anything, tire compounds being equal, a mud tire would have been worse in those conditions.
