On Avalanches website he has all these charts about what suspension is good for certain things. He mentioned that "low leverage progressive suspension... Best for pedaling. Best for heavier riders".

What bikes are examples of what he's explaining? Pros/cons to these bikes in general? Ie- Great for going up. Sucks at drops. Etc...

Ps. Their website was designed on day 2 of the internets existence.

Regressive is best for pedaling, once you get a spring rate on there that resists your hard hits, it’ll be effectively oversprung for pedaling and the smaller travel stuff. DW and a few have gone into detail about this. Progressive means initial travel is really soggy, easy to activate and blow through to later in travel where ramp occurs.
