Can anyone tell the difference between the older and newer Solo air spring assemblies? The newer dampeners are alot better but the air spring assembly doesnt allow for easy height adjustment. I picked up spacers for my older yrik but when I pulled the Lyrik spring to drop the travel from 170mm to 160mm I discovered the new design requires a specific base plate. I understand the spring can be modded but this means you cannot return to 170mm - unless you pick up a new spring assembly. The base plates are not sold seperately in South Africa or the UK.
I have installed a coil spring in my older Lyrik and I am thinking I could use the spring assembly in the new Lyrik. Its not a difficult job but one I would prefer not to do it if anyone knows it will suck.
