Isn't that what they all are? Just wait... the annoyance *continues* to get worse. Xmas is, by far, the most irritating.
Pretty much. Honestly though, the big holidays are pretty chill for us. All the big family called a truce for adults. We all get stuff just for the little kids. We usually end up busting out the LCR dice game for dollars or doing like a White Elephant gift exchange thing for adults at Christmas. I just get annoyed by the fervor of other stuff, where you're just expected to buy shit for literally no reason. My wife really isn't into 'stuff' for the most part. The only things she really buys like clothes or whatever, I would never pick for her. She doesn't wear much jewelry. So, I've just resorted that she enjoys going to the spa and that makes it pretty easy. I gave up trying to be creative a few years ago, because, she'd really rather just get a massage and relax without the kids for a few hours.

Jon's bitter because everyone keeps on assuming his elder kid is a slow 7 year old due to his size.
My middle kid grew up with a kid like that. Everyone assumed he was at *least* 3 years older than he was because of his size. This create unrealistic expectations WRT his behavior.

On top of that - his behavior was pretty train-wreckish.

My girls are the opposite since they're small. People are all "is she a giant genius baby?!" in as many words.

Morns'.
Was up in Grand Lakes yesterday, explored, poked around, ate lunch.
Stopped at Hot Sulfur Springs for a good afternoon soak then hit the buffet in Blackhawk on the way home.
The soak was great but it took 3 showers to get the rotten eggs smell off my skin.
HSS was my first landing point / hometown in the Rockies from '96-'99...

I waited tables at the no longer a hotel (Riverside) with Abe the crazy Puerto Rican (RIP), and lift ops at Silver Creek (before it was Sol Vista/Gumby Ranch) and strangely enough was back in town for a wedding during Marvin's hulk/smash revenge in Granby.

The aroma of sulphur is an acquired taste, but nothing is funnier than watching kids innocently playing in Yellowstone geyser steam until their parents realize the stench won't come off...

Next time you're road tripping, check out the FREE "Hobo" hot springs in Saratoga WY.

It's small but they have a super hot pool and a cooler pool and a few developed spots in the river...

Good Afternoon!!

Been a busy day of graphics production - we let things pile up a little because we were slow at the end of the week, and wanted to make sure we had stuff to work on today.....but then, signage armageddon happened and 15 orders just hit our inbox. Three days ago - we were genius sign guys.....today, we're sign guys that needed to haul some ass so we don't look stupid. :bonk:

Saw a fantastic blues band on Saturday - Dmitri Resnik and the Bootleg Beat. Strongly advise to go see if he's in your neighborhood.

Today's unplanned afternoon meeting has been cancelled. We just lost the RFP for one of my highest potential clients. Lost it specifically because of how bad the two prior reps were... That's bad.

Guess I need to get on it with the rest.

I didn't get anyone anything for Mother's Day yesterday... but my girlfriend doesn't have any kids and my Ma doesn't have any that lived, so I guess I'm off the hook.
