Is that for real? Crap if it is. A couple of my friends have been waiting for them since the beginning of the summer. Every month, it becomes "Next month".TheMontashu said:Last I heard (from an intense factory rider) the factory burned to the ground and there jest getting the **** back together
its complete bull$hit dont ever believe anything that guy saysnicklin said:Holy sh*t!!!!!!!
How come no one mentioned this yet? Karpiel closes down and everyone gets on his a*s and trash him, if there is a fire in Intense facotory and no one talks about it....that would be pretty f8cked up....
I am guessing it isn't that. The 2 people I know who have been waiting are both on a regional team sponsored by Intense and work (one now former) for a large dealer. One is a pro, the other a fast expert. They were suppossedly "hot listed" (or whatever the Intense term is) b/c their x-small M1's were built horribly out of alignment. No matter the setup, the tire ALWAYS bottomed on the seatmast. They are still waiting, and have been sice ~the beginning of the year. So far the only temp fix for them has been to have Progressive limit the travel of the shock.dan-o From the linked thread said:They have been riding them for most of the season. Maybe they got priority since the shop they're affiliate with are a big intense dealer combined with the fact that several had no rides since their M1s broke last season with no parts available. All were also small sizes so maybe that makes a difference..
Thats too funny, and to think everyone bashed Jan Karpiel for being late on his deliveries and having a misaligned bikes. So now the list grows longer from when a frame is going to be delivered So in recent months Foes, SC & Intense have been VERY late on occasion for delivering their goods.Repack said:I am guessing it isn't that. Sounds like the quality control is going down. My friend got a 5.5 earlier this year and the thing was plain old bent. There was no damage so it was way out of alignment straight from the factory. How aren't they catching this before shipping?Repack said:their x-small M1's were built horribly out of alignment. No matter the setup,

"On occasion" and "in recent months" are the two key phrases in that statement that differentiate those companies from Karpiel... Whereas with Karpiel you would have said "every single frame" and "all the time"Brian HCM#1 said:So in recent months Foes, SC & Intense have been VERY late on occasion for delivering their goods.
One of the riders in question also purchased a small XVP that sucked. There were a couple of issues- like the links were hitting the frame, along with the rear tire. That frame was replaced by a 5.5.Lexx D said:Sounds like the quality control is going down. My friend got a 5.5 earlier this year and the thing was plain old bent. I know there will always be alignment issues. My balfa is a bit off(never noticed while riding). Difference is i payed half for my balfa what the intense would have cost me @ employee purchase. I just think when you're buying one of the most $$$ frames out there you should have a few less issues.Repack said:One of the riders in question also purchased a small XVP that sucked. On a frame as complex as an Intense, I believe that perfection is near impossible, but wanting a product that is 99% of the way there is fine. My M1 has some minor alignment issues. I still love the frame though b/c it took me over a year to motice it, and I have never noticed it while riding (I saw it while it was on my roof rack at night while sillohetted (sp?) by a flood light). But Intense is not the only one. I have also seen issues with a few Foes frames, but b/c that are single pivots, the issues are much harder to detect.
Not true, my Disco was early, and my Army was only 2 1/2 weeks late. Thats not bad. Sh*t look how long it took El Jefe to get his V10 especially since they said he'd have it right away.binary visions said:"On occasion" and "in recent months" are the two key phrases in that statement that differentiate those companies from Karpiel... hmmm. i heard it was gumbo... anyone care to confirm?zedro said:i heard they got tuna salad all over the NC console so production has been delayed as a result.
Straight from the source: tuna salad. I guess it was spilled in the hydro forming machine and caused the frames to smell really bad after a day in the sun. They got the tuna out so production should be back up as we speak. The Kadvang said:hmmm. i heard it was gumbo... anyone care to confirm?
i made your army late neaky:Brian HCM#1 said:My point being its just not one manufacture, sometimes you're at the mercy of your parts suppliers that can hold up everything.

Quite possibly not! Id personally like to see an INCREASE.. seen some scare pics of broken m1's..Espen said:He did say however that the M3 would be everything the M1 was as far as strength and durability goes.......

I totally here ya. I'm almost wondering if I should have gone with a V-10 instead.Spunger said:I dunno, I thought about the next bike to get a Turner or Santa Cruz as both seem to have their head in the right direction more with warrenty departments and customer service.
