I currently have both, M6 on the DH bike, M4 on the HT. The 6s are worth it if you're going to do alot of DH, or just love tons of stopping power. The 6s also have an even better lever feel. Worth it to me.

Its for the soon-to-be V10, so it sounds like 6's it is. The build as planned is this...

Black ano V10
Boxxer WC
Hope M6s
Hadley/729s or maybe the new tubeless rim...
Sram, Truvative, thompson, ect
of course, Maxxis

Should be pretty gnar, Im going all out on this one. Cant blame the bike for anything this year. Hoepfully the frame will actaully show up on time.

I just sold my M6. One thing nice about the M6 was the interchangeability of the caliper to fit on other brands of forks and rotor sizes without having to purchase half calipers. M6 rear comes with 5mm adapter for the rear. If you run direct mount on a IS mount, you will get 185mm. If you add the 5mm stack then you will have 205mm. Front is just a matter of purchasing the adapter for Boxxer or IS mounts. as for the power.....I really didn't notice that much of a difference from the previous year and over the Hayes.

I'm running Mono M4's on my black ano V-10 (203mm front and 185mm rear) and have absolutely no problems with power under my 170lbs.

BTW, V-10s rock

I hope you have your 40 already ordered, or you wont be getting one anytime soon. That's why I will the running the boxxer. I will most likely be replacing the 5th with a DHX, although not immediately.

If you order through SC just ask for a DHX...

Yea, mine came with one, just not a rear fender.
A small sacrifice to make, it sounds like almost nobody got their rear fender. I will take my bike in a timely fashion over a rear fender any day.

Actually the 40 is going to be coming from Santa Cruz, Fox told my LBS that OEM orders were their first priority but I don't know. I do know that 2 40's are in route to the shop now but are already spoken for. Hopefully more will follow soon. And hopefully I'll be getting my bike soon, I have no idea, it's been on order for about 2 months now, my shop ordered several V10 frames the same time mine was ordered and they have not arrived yet either so I know it's not the fork holding things up at this point.
I was also thinking about changing my order to any color even though I really want back ano, maybe it will speed things up.

Yeah you might be ok, the demand for both that fork and frame is just ridiculous. Im just hoping mine gets here before August. :D

I've been using the M6 for a year in a half now and I love them. However the M4 will stop you just fine. If you want a little more power go M6, if you want to save some weight, the M4 is more than sufficient.

Haha! No $hit!
I'm stoked though, I'm sure it will be a huge improvement over my old bullit!

Yo Phildo,

The M6's don't have any more power than the M4, unless of course you go with larger rotors. They do offer better heat dissipation for your DH needs though. Also, assuming you're going through a shop, get them direct from Hope and not through a supplier and make sure to let them know of your employee status (and any applicalble team or sponsorship status) and Bill should sort you out with a better price than from a distro.

I'll be running 205mm rotors either way. We'll see how the prices compare at cost, that will probably be the deciding factor. Is your enduro done yet?

Then you'll only have to think about heat dissipation (which may be a factor for you since you're mad fast) and price. Can't wait to see your bike. You'll have to bring it back here if you're coming to my wedding in May. It can be with one of it's brothers then. My friend Dave (who was at the other end of the table at my B-Day party last year) will have his by then and is bringing it with him.

The Enduro is done except for the ordering of a 20mm King hub, and a wider handlebar. Everything else is working just fine.

In lieu of a batchelor party, I think I'd rather just get a bunch of friends together and go for a fun ride a few days before my wedding. I've never been into the strange.

Definately worth in terms of stopping power. They are noticibly more powerful than Hayes, and even the Grimeca Shimanos.

Plus they are top notch qualtity.
