even with his "beloved" 888 on there, he didnt still seem to like it.

i for one am glad someone actually said what they really feel about the bike (or any bike.) its nice to have a objectionable review on something once in a while.

i understand though, your concern on getting his test bike right...your name is etched onto the bike afterall.

Follow the watch........... You are getting sleeeeeepyyyy. The issues you're having are all in your head, there are no flaws in this bike.

dw, I got you covered here, if this doesn't work I'm going straight to the Cool Aid:thumb:

This from a guy who would rather help resurrect an eastern european bike company with no real current following rather than just find another bike he likes? :D

Cheers for all the advice lads, been an interesting read. Unfortunately due to a change in monies situation I probably won't be seeing either of these frames until I either finish my degree and get a well paying job or sell up one of my kidneys...looks like I'm ragging the sunday till it dies!

I haven't cased any 80 foot road gaps or 30 foot drops on my dhr with a 6 year old fork lately, but if I do and this happens I'll definitely put it on the Internet :/
This! How the heck did the frame snap before the Boxxer????

That's jacked up. WTF happened?
Hey dudes, I saw this happen yesterday in whistler, at the bottom of schleyer. Guy hit that really small jump just before the road crossing the fireroad next to lower crank it up. It was super scary to watch, he landed and the frame just exploded. He wasn't doing anything crazy, definitely should not have happened.

I don't know the guy outside of the 10 minutes I spent talking to him after his bike sheered into 2 pieces, but he said it was only his 6th day in the park on it, and he was riding schleyer. I dont think he was doing anything more than that.

Did he drive to Whistler on a bumpy road with the bike hanging over the back of his truck??? Might be a pre-damaged downtube similar to what happened to some 951s.

Yeah that is a distinct possibility... Whistler is hard on bikes and all (claimed one of my frames too!) but that downtube is broken in a seriously weird spot. Something's messed up about that one.

Saw this on my buddies phone yesterday while riding the park. Having a hard time understanding how casing that (quite small) jump broke the frame. Definitely not confidence inspiring, as it seems as though DH bikes should be able to take much more abuse than that...

i dunno, i still kinda want a DHR-DW

I mean every frame regardless of who made it has a few that go bust once in a while.

and unlike most others, turner has a fekking amazing warranty department!

Livin it up in the O.C.
Unless it was already partially cracked through and this was just the straw that broke he camel's back.
Oh, for example.... I once cracked my frame by pedaling too hard. I had ridden in the park and was going back home. Accelerated from a stop-light and SNAP!! The frame broke at shock mount on the seat-tube.

So are my legs more massive than Wade Boots?
Do I generate 200BHP in my legs?

Heck no... obvoiusly one of the drops I did started the crack and then the acceleration/hard pedaling was just the little extra that made it crack through 100%.

So if you are looking at this from a technical standpoint I was JRA'ing (Just riding along). Do I really think that was the case though? NO

From what I have heard the first batch of DHR's did have some issues but that has all been taken care of now and new frames seem to be doing great.
Plus there is an awesome warranty.

if i was working at turner i would be banging my head against the wall that this was posted...obviously there are tons of these bikes out there now, and if this happened over something small there was something wrong with this SPECIFIC frame...

i would be slow to bash the brand based on this photo...they have always been such a great product...im sure they took care of this guy

I don't think it's wrong for someone to post a pic of a broken frame, it may save someone else from a very serious injury. Why does everyone freak out when someone posts a picture of a broken part from a reputable company? I don't get it, it's something people should be aware of if there is a possible flaw. Turner already recalled a bunch of frames from last years batches. They are a great company with great company customer service, I'm sure they'll address this ASAP.
