Whats the best way to cut up 1 large clip into a bunch of shorter ones in iMovie HD???

the way i did it was i went through the whole vid and everytime the shot changed i marked it and dragged it up to the individual clip thing. its a bitch but its the only way i could figure out how to do it.

I got it, it imported for like 1 minute. Then would cut the clip at the end of a shot. So it worked out.

well if you are importing from a tape then it will automatically cut all the stuff for you. but when i was doing the red bull rough cuts thing i had to make all the cuts manually.

Place the play head where you want to cut, then press apple + t.
You can then drag the clips to the staging area, if you like.
