We're kicking off the 2024 Secret Santa! Exchange gifts with other monkeys - from beer and snacks, to bike gear, to custom machined holiday decorations and tools by our more talented members, there's something for everyone.
here's what you do...Open "applications"->"utilities"->"disk utility". have the disk that you want to copy in your drive. in DU, click on the disk on the left and click "New Image". It will ask what you want to save as/where to save it. this will take a couple mins to put onto your hard drive..etc.
when that's done, eject it and put in the blank disk. your original should show up in the left colum of DU as "blahbla.dmg". when you have your blank in the drive and the .dmg file on the left, single click your dmg file and up in the top click "burn"...BAM
re-reads first post: ah, so you aren't out to copy a movie. um, in this case i'd just copy the whole volume to your hard drive using the finder, then burn a disc like you normally would, again using the finder.
