Maine SUCKS!
OK, my Dad lives in NH, and my mom in maine and NY. Has any one ever noticed that it take 6 hours to go from Hangover NH, to Portland maine!!?? I swear to go if i ever get my hand on the person who made the interstate, there good as dead.

Jesus, six frigen hours for somthing that shoulda taken 3 if there were a goddam highway that went East to West in this country my life would be allot easier.

I vote pettition! New highway from Hanover to Portland. Then we can work on New Yorks East to west problem.

By the way, the problem is Hanover is on the far side of Hampshire. The rds in Maine are just fine.

You should pick up a better map. There are fairly direct East-West routes between Hanover, NH and Portland, Maine, they just aren't interstates. If it actually is taking 6 hours, you are adding close to 2 hours onto your trip by using only the interstate.

I drive from the bottom, southwest corner of NH, and can make it to Portland in ~4 hours. Just spend a little time with a map and find a better route.

Going to Portland from Manchester was pretty quick and I thought the highways were pretty direct. Man... i'm so mad I'm not going to Maine this summer.

I vote we tear up all Interstates in NH to keep out the riffraff. Tear them up in Vermont and Maine too while we're at it.

Tourists are fine. They bring in $$ and don't vote. Its the commuters and yuppies that piss me off. I was amazed to hear there was actually a movement to do away with Town Meeting in Hanover. WTF are those idiots thinking?

I remember Town meeting day, from college while in VT. They were always entertaining, with the yelling and arguements. Great way to have your voice heard by the local town gov't.
