That sucks - oh well, anyone got suggestions on a 12mm x 135mm hub for a DHR? I've got a hope one on there right now but everytime I have to take the wheel of the hub comes apart with the cogs and freewheel in one piece which usually means I'm tryint to find the pawls in the mud and get them back in the hub - not fun!

If you don't mind spending the bucks, Hadley makes a great rear hub, and it's especially nice because it can be converted to and from the various axle size standards (12mm, 10mm, etc.) with only a swap of the end caps.

www.go-ride.com carries Hadley stuff. It sounds like your Hope hub is busted, though, might want to look into fixing it instead of buying a whole new hub!

It's not busted - took it to LBS which is a hope dealer - appearantly it's the way it's designed, which is wierd, so it's easier to access the bearings. There's no way to keep freewheel on the hub, it just slides up and down. Thanks for the suggestion.

Huh. Bizarre, sounds like a stupid way to design it to me. Never owned a Hope hub, though.

Good luck with your search :thumb:
