This is a pretty cool story.
This guy (Drew Olanoff) who has the Twitter login @drew is auctioning off the login name, and donating the money to the LiveStrong Foundation. He was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in late May, and found an outlet in Twitter and support from the LiveStrong Foundation.
He hoped some other "Drew" would make a healthy bid, but never expected the bid to reach $1M. Drew Carey says he'll donate that amount if he gets 1M Twitter followers by Dec 31 (@DrewFromTV). If he doesn't get that many, he'll donate the dollar amount of the number of followers he has (i.e., 500,000 followers = $500,000 to LiveStrong).
